Sterling Silver and Vermeil

The following pieces are sterling silver sometimes marked 925 and vermeil.  Vermeil is sterling silver with a gold wash.  This was a very popular technique used in making vintage jewelry.

Vintage 1940s Marslieu Sterling Vermeil Hand Brooch Holding Pearl-Vintage Jewelry rocks vintagejewelryrocks 1940s Marslieu Sterling Vermeil Hand Brooch rare Fabulous RARE vintage brooch that is unsigned but attributed to Marslieu , & designed by Robert Pearsall for the Imperial Pearl Co. in 1946. Brooch measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 1/4 inch. Hand is holding a large faux pearl that measures 3/4 inch across the center. The cuff at the end of the vermeil hand is invisibly set with clear sparkling rhinestone.
