This is a fabulous vintage set detailed with dragons & gargoyles, funky green swirl early plastic stones, purple rhinestones & faux pearl accents all casted in a nice antiqued gold tone metal. This set is unsigned but being attributed to Selro Selini as the probable maker, as the dragons are similar to dragons found on a confirmed selro selini set & The ornate scrolling that is common in some of the Selro or Selini pieces is another clue along with the overall construction. Furthermore there is a set featured in Cherri Simonds "Collectible Costume Jewelry" on page 73 which that is very similar to this set.
The necklace fits a 15 inch neck. The centerpiece measures 2 inches wide & tall & connects on each side to little gargoyles that lead into a double chain with a fold over clasp.
The matching earrings are screw back dangle earrings & measure 2 1/8 inches long & 3/4 inch wide.
This set is in excellent condition & is a very rare & hard to find set! There are NO stones missing & the metal shows very little if any wear! |
